One of the best parts of having a dog is the constant adventures you get to have with them. Walks around the neighborhood, car rides around town, or maybe trips to visit a friend… a dog just has a way of pushing you off the couch and out of the house. If you’re looking to push beyond the neighborhood for your next adventure, you’re in luck! Wonderful Wisconsin has loads of great dog-friendly adventure spots just calling to you and your four-legged best friend. Because we love dogs, and Wisconsin, we thought we’d round up some of our favorite dog-friendly spots around the Badger State.
It’s summertime! The days are longer, the temperature is rising, and you can finally put the snow blower away! When that heat really starts to sink in, what’s better than spending the day on the lake?
Summer is almost here and that means more backyard grilling will be sizzling. This is the perfect time to break out your meat, shake out your “Kiss the Cook” apron, and take advantage of your backyard while you enjoy meals outside with your family and friends.
Wisconsin winters are long, so we understand if it’s been a while. Time to take stock and make sure you have everything you need for a solid weekend cookout!
Biking is more than just an outdoor recreational activity here in Wisconsin! In many of our tight-knit communities, it’s how we connect with the world around us. Whether you are a novice or an advanced biker, there are both paved and mountain bike trails all through Wisconsin. So, call your adventurous friends, pack the bikes, and load up on snacks, drinks, and fuel at your local The Store before you head out to cycle these five different trails all around Wisconsin!
It happens to the best of us: we plan the perfect fishing trip with friends, load up our tackle, poles, life jackets, live bait from The Store, change of socks… all the good stuff. And then we get to the lake, and we don’t have… something. Live Canadian Crawlers, Leaf Worms. Pliers. Our lucky sinker for checking depth. It’s never the same thing twice, but it’s always something.
In partnership with our Buy A Bone campaign supporting local animal shelters and humane societies, we want to celebrate pets in our communities but with a fun twist… introducing our Naughtiest Pet Photo Contest!
We LOVE animals and we LOVE the communities we call home. This month, we’re excited to support both through our annual Buy A Bone promotion! April 16th through May 21st, you can help raise much-needed funding for all of our furry friends at local animal shelter or humane societies in your area when you visit The Store and buy paper bones for $1, $5, and $10. Buy one (or more!) and sign your bone to show your support. Psst – You can even get creative and write the name of a pet! 😉 The purchased bones will be displayed inside The Store to celebrate the generosity and kindness of our Guests. ALL funds raised from paper bone sales go directly to the local shelter or humane societies in your area, and we’re not kitten! What could be more purrfect? 🐾
When was the last time a small gesture of kindness left you smiling through the rest of your day? What was it? Did a stranger smile while they held the door open? Did a little kid point to your silly t-shirt in delight? Did someone wave you through an intersection even though it was their […]
Why Support Local Businesses? We’ve all known how important it is to support local businesses. Buy local, eat local, go local. But sometimes buying locally can be difficult – due to price, availability or convenience. Still, choosing community businesses can be worthwhile and is well worth advocating for. When it comes to supporting local businesses, you’re […]
With the holidays just around the corner, we might as well talk about Wisconsin’s official state fruit. As the nation’s leading producer of cranberries, we harvest more than 60% of the country’s crop right here in our home state. Growing across 20 counties in Wisconsin, the 21,000 acres of sand and peat marshes in both Central and Northern Wisconsin create the perfect growing conditions for those little red berries.
The Store has 25 locations in Wisconsin and Michigan. Here are just a few of the communities we serve.
