6 Ways to “Spring” Into the Season 🌷
There’s nothing like stepping outside to a warm spring day after months of snow and ice. With another midwestern winter behind us, sunshine and above-freezing temperatures are more than welcome! Read on for 6 great ways to “spring into the season” and make the most of March.
P.S. – #6 is our favorite!
1. Go for a Walk 🚶♀️
It might seem simple, but there’s a reason it’s #1 on our list. Going for a walk is easy, relaxing and enjoyable. Get a little exercise and soak up the sun by taking a stroll around the neighborhood or on your favorite trail. Plus, you can make the walk as long or as short as you like – it can fit into everyone’s schedule, and even 10 minutes will brighten your mood!
P.S. – If you’re a dog owner, don’t forget to bring your canine companion. They’re sure to have a fetching time. Just watch out for those mud puddles!
2. Fly a Kite 🪁
If it’s a windy day, why not dust off that kite in the garage and head to the park? Flying kites is a fun activity for the whole family, and you know the kids will love it. Wisconsin has a TON of public parks, and they’re one of the few places you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the community while offering plenty of room to stay socially distant. That’s a win-win if you ask us!
3. Read Outside 📖
Reading is a great way to unwind year-round, but it is even better when you can do it in the sun! Grab a book, magazine or pull up a blog page (like this one). Then, find a comfortable place on a bench, your deck, or a patch of grass, and you’re ready to go. Enjoy the calm sounds of nature and get some much-needed vitamin D. Don’t stay out too long, though – it doesn’t have to be summertime for you to get sunburnt!
4. Ride a Bike 🚲
Woohoo! The roads, paths and trails are finally free of snow. Well, mostly, anyway! Now’s the time to break out that 10-speed and go for a cruise. Enjoy the warm breeze, sunlight and exercise…it will be a breath of fresh air after a long winter cooped up inside. Literally!
